23rd Intelligence in the Knowledge Society Conference

“Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy, Romania is organising the 23rd International Conference Intelligence in the Knowledge Society (IKS) which will take place on 26-27 October 2017 in Bucharest, Romania.

For more than two decades, the Intelligence in the Knowledge Society conference, organised by the “Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy has represented a forum for encounters of intelligence academics and practitioners. Bridging the gaps between different perspectives, the IKS conference has constantly and consistently contributed to the generation of a common language and to the sharing of information between scholars and representatives of intelligence services.

The 2017 edition aims to bring together academia, practitioners and stakeholders for a timely debate on the changing security paradigm and the role of intelligence in countering 21st century threats.

The key aspects addressed during the conference will include:

  • Small States and Security Dilemmas: A look into the future
  • Enforcing Efficiency and Effectiveness in the 2020s Intelligence Organization
  • Privacy and Security Debate in Intelligence
  • History of Intelligence: Days of the Future Past
  • Data and Intelligence Analysis. Differences and Continuities
