The Ministerial Council adopted Decision no. 6/14 (MC.DEC/6 /14) on enhancing disaster risk reduction, in the context of the efforts undertaken by the United Nations system in the area of disaster risk reduction, which recognizes the complementary role OSCE has to play within its mandate in addressing this challenge in its specific region and the significance of the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005–2015.
